The Significance of The CEO
Trading goods and services for money could be referred to as a business. For any economic activity to make gains there’s need to invest in it. Businesses are of diverse nature and origin for we have state-owned companies, privately owned businesses, and multinational businesses.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” this is one of the questions that pop-up in most children and adults most of the adults find themselves unmotivated and hate their jobs while others find themselves engaged. Greg Lindberg attained a honors degree in economics from Yale in 1993 and later worked through to become a CEO and own several companies. He founded Eli Magazine while a freshman at Yale and without aid he skyrocketed the company to 5 million dollars in revenue. He started out in sales, marketing and changed his profession to an assistant director in the non-profit sector and later becoming a CEO of a regional telecommunications company. He learned new skills and gained new experiences throughout his hustles. Listening is one of the attributes he learned that molded him to be a CEO. Their investment size ranges from $1 to $20 million for healthcare & financial sectors, $1 to $40 million for industries & services, marketing & sales and less than $200 million for insurance (revenues under $100 million). As a CEO himself, Greg Lindberg knows that it can be difficult to define what a CEO does.
To excel in chief executive post one has to be good at all the aspects of the whole job or organization. A business organization is usually headed by a chief executive officer. The business organization blueprint is usually implemented by the chief executive officer. CEO will report to a Board of Directors or another governing board or group of officials who will judge his or her performance and determine whether or not any adjustments in pay and benefits are warranted. The governor of a business agency is required to receive and act upon the reports of the chief executive officer. Sometimes it might be tricky in cases whereby the chief executive officer is the owner and the founder of the business company since there might be no oversight body or persons. Whether the CEO reports to a Board of Directors or not, his or her job will be to subdivided and directed to other executive leaders.
In most cases, the CEO will also serve as the face of the organization. People who did not attend university or college and who went straight into job market, and a found one they love, they are the lucky ones. Passion is the greatest driver of businesses and many other ventures.
